RUOMEI / BUYER’S GUIDE

Silicone Neon Rings with Engraved Details: Two Different Types of Linework

A sign can have a silicone neon ring around the outside and much finer artwork in the centre. Those fine details do not have to be made from the same silicone line. RUOMEI can review this style with CNC engraving or laser marking/engraving for the central artwork, subject to the actual design.

Own product reference: compare the broad outer ring with the fine central figure and floral details. It illustrates the two visual treatments; the photo does not identify every material or prove the processing settings.

1. Mark the outer ring and the centre separately

On your artwork, identify the silicone neon ring and the details you want inside it. Include text, fine lines and any illustration that needs to remain recognisable. A round reference photo alone does not explain how you want each area treated.

For this RUOMEI style, the outer ring uses silicone neon. Central details can be reviewed for CNC engraving or laser marking/engraving. The centre material, layers and processing details are confirmed for the proposed product rather than assumed from the ring material.

2. Do not apply one line-width rule to both parts

Our confirmed minimum silicone stroke width is 6 mm, with feasibility still reviewed against the artwork and size. That number describes the silicone line. It is not a published minimum engraving width for the centre.

If the logo includes fine text or a detailed illustration, send it at the intended finished size. Ask which details can be retained with the proposed treatment. We do not give a universal minimum width for central engraving or promise that every fine detail will work at every size.

3. Approve the appearance of each area

Area What to show in the brief What to confirm in the proposal
Outer ring Required outline and intended lit colour. The silicone neon treatment and agreed lighting appearance.
Central artwork Complete file, including the fine details. Proposed process, material and appearance with the sign on and off.
Relationship between them Artwork size, spacing and alignment. The complete composition at the intended product size.
Control requirements Any requested dimming or separate operation. Whether and how the requested behaviour is feasible.

Visible central detail in a photograph does not establish separate lighting or independent control. State those requirements if they matter to the project.

4. Compare the actual treatments, not just “round neon”

Two circular signs may use different ways to reproduce the central logo. Ask each quotation to describe the ring and centre separately. Keep the artwork, finished size and requested appearance the same when comparing the proposals.

If you need coloured graphic areas or a particular illuminated effect, show a reference and ask for a specific review. Do not assume an engraved-centre proposal includes printing, colour-changing detail or another effect simply because a different round sign shows it.

5. Check the fine detail within the complete sample

Request a complete front view as well as a close-up of the central artwork. The close-up helps show fine lines; the overall view helps you judge spacing and the relationship with the outer ring. Include views with the sign on and off.

Keep the sample and artwork version linked. If the proposed process requires a change to small text or line detail, review that change before accepting it for the bulk order.

6. Send one artwork file with two clear requirements

Send vector artwork where available, finished size and quantity. Mark the ring, the central details that must remain and the appearance you expect. Include intended use and any control requirements for configuration review.

See our silicone LED neon sign options and use the form below. If the central treatment is still undecided, ask us to review it rather than describing every line as silicone neon.
