RUOMEI / BUYER’S GUIDE

Can a Custom LED Light Box Stay On All Day?

Tell us how long the light box needs to run and where it will be installed before asking for an all-day operating commitment. RUOMEI reviews continuous-use requirements against the daily schedule, ventilation and environment, then assesses the complete configuration.

Illuminated acrylic display box photographed from the front and side

Real product reference showing an illuminated display body. The photograph does not establish operating hours, thermal limits or service life. Those need review for the proposed configuration and location.

1. Replace “all day” with an actual schedule

A shop that switches its display off at closing and a location that never closes are asking for different operating schedules. State the planned on and off times, including weekends or periods when the schedule changes. If the requirement is continuous operation without a planned daily break, say so explicitly.

For several sites, identify which share the same schedule. Do not use the opening hours of one store as the specification for every light box in the order.

2. Show where the complete system will sit

Send a photograph or drawing showing the light box and the proposed power-supply position. Describe whether the display is in open space, inside a fixture or behind another panel. Include known ventilation restrictions and nearby heat sources.

If an installer or fixture supplier controls the enclosure, ask them to provide those details. Where a condition is unknown, mark it as unknown rather than describing the installation simply as “indoor.” We need the actual arrangement to review the configuration.

3. Give the factory a short operating brief

Information What to send Why it matters to the review
Daily schedule On/off times and any uninterrupted-use requirement. Defines the actual operating duty.
Installation Site photo and fixture drawing, if enclosed. Shows the surroundings of the complete configuration.
Ventilation Known openings, restrictions or enclosed spaces. Avoids assessing an open-space arrangement for an enclosed site.
Environment Known heat, moisture, sunlight and seasonal conditions. Identifies conditions that need further assessment.
Power arrangement Destination country and proposed supply location. Allows the power setup to be reviewed with the sign.

This is information for a project review, not a universal installation specification. Required clearances or temperature limits must come from the confirmed configuration; do not choose them from a generic article.

4. Review the sign and supply as one configuration

A component specification does not by itself establish the operating limits of the assembled light box in your fixture. Ask for the proposed construction and power arrangement to be reviewed against the same operating brief. A different supply position or enclosure should be flagged before approval.

RUOMEI does not give one fixed service-life figure or temperature limit for all custom light boxes. If your procurement document requires a particular operating condition, provide it before the quotation is final so its feasibility and any supporting evidence can be discussed.

5. Keep the agreed conditions with the approval

Record the operating schedule and installation conditions beside the approved drawing and configuration. A sample lighting up in an open workshop does not, on its own, answer whether the proposed product suits an enclosed display running continuously.

Before changing the location, enclosure or power arrangement, ask whether the configuration needs another review. The useful approval is for the stated use, rather than a general statement that any LED product can stay on indefinitely.

6. Include operating hours in the quote request

Start with the logo or reference image, size and quantity. Add the daily schedule, intended location, ventilation information and proposed power-supply position. For a rollout, group sites with the same conditions and identify the exceptions.

See our custom LED light box options and send the brief through the form below. If site details are still being designed, tell us which conditions are confirmed and which need to be resolved before approving the build.
