RUOMEI / BUYER’S GUIDE

Can You Get a Light Box Quote Before the Quantity Is Final?

Yes. Send the design, approximate size and an expected quantity range. We can discuss feasibility and give a reference quotation based on those assumptions, or explain which decisions are still needed. You do not have to invent a firm order quantity to start.

Illuminated Modelo graphic light box photographed against a wall

A real light box example. A reference photo helps explain the intended appearance; its size, configuration and price should not be assumed for a new order.

1. Send what is known and label what is provisional

A logo or reference image, a target size and a quantity range give us a starting point for a light box enquiry. If the size is still a proposal, say so. Tell us what the display is for and which details the customer has already approved.

RUOMEI accepts enquiries before the budget or quantity is fixed. Initial feasibility discussion is free. A reference quotation still needs a stated basis: it is not a final price for every size, construction or order quantity.

2. Separate the sample, first order and future demand

A possible future rollout is useful context, but it is not the same as the order you are ready to place. Keep the three stages separate so a sample fee or first-order price is not mistaken for a price based on a larger committed batch.

Stage What to tell us
Sample What the customer needs to review before deciding.
First order The likely quantity range for the initial purchase.
Possible later orders The planning estimate, clearly marked as unconfirmed.

If you have no quantity estimate at all, start by explaining which stage you are in. We can clarify the next useful decision rather than attach an unsupported unit price to an undefined order.

3. Compare quantities without changing the product

If you want to compare two quantity scenarios, keep the artwork, size and configuration the same. Otherwise, a lower unit price may be caused by a different product specification rather than the order quantity.

Ask for each scenario to show its quantity and assumptions. Do not assume a fixed discount percentage or that doubling the quantity halves the unit price. When the design includes several sizes or structures, provide the expected split instead of one combined total.

4. Explain what the budget has to cover

If you have a target budget, say whether it is per sign or for the whole project, and which currency you mean. Also explain whether it must cover samples, shipping or installation-related purchases. Those are different spending boundaries.

Mark the non-negotiable requirements, such as the logo appearance or installation space, separately from details that can still be reviewed. We can explain the main cost factors without silently changing a requirement simply to reach a target figure.

5. Ask about a small first order directly

New customers may begin with one paid sample. Trial orders below our standard 30 units per design can be assessed separately; acceptance and bulk unit pricing are not guaranteed. Do not increase the stated quantity just to obtain a price for a batch you may not order.

Different graphics, sizes or main structures are counted separately. Colour or print variations need review before they can be treated as one design for production. A shared logo does not automatically combine every version into a single quantity.

6. Turn the estimate into an agreed order basis

Before ordering, confirm the size, process, configuration, quantity and delivery scope. If any of those assumptions have changed, ask for the quotation to be updated. Keep the version used for approval so purchasing and the factory are working from the same information.

To start, use the enquiry form below for your custom light box project. Send the available artwork and write “quantity not final” with your best range or current project stage. That is more useful than waiting until every detail is settled.
