Bulk Light Box Packaging: Confirm the Carton and the Contents

A light box order is not ready to unpack just because every sign has a carton. The buyer also needs to know which accessories belong with each unit, how different versions are identified and whether the packing suits the delivery route.

A real custom-shaped light box example. The outline and any projecting details need to be considered in the packing review. This is a product photo, not evidence of a tested shipping pack.

1. Describe what happens after the first delivery

Tell us whether the order goes to one warehouse, then moves to stores, or will be unpacked and installed at the first destination. If your team will send individual units onward as parcels, include that in the brief before packing is agreed.

A packing arrangement should be reviewed for the actual product and route. Do not assume that a unit taken out of a larger shipment can be forwarded in its individual carton without checking. The onward route may need a different packing arrangement.

2. Review protection around the complete product

Our light box packing can include an individual bag, custom EPE protection and an individual carton, adjusted for the product size and shipping method. Special arrangements, including disassembly or additional protection, need project-specific confirmation.

Review corners, projecting graphic details, the face and any parts packed beside the sign. Carrier guidance also stresses cushioning and separating items inside a box. The suitable arrangement needs to be agreed for your shipment; a “fragile” label does not describe the protection inside.

3. Write down what belongs with one light box

Ask for an agreed contents list for each configuration. A photo of a finished sign cannot tell the receiving team which supply, plug or installation parts are included. Separate included items from anything the installer must provide locally.

Item to confirm Question for the order record
Power supply and plug Which agreed version belongs with this unit?
Switch or control Is it included in this configuration?
Mounting parts What is supplied, and what must be sourced locally?
Loose accessories How are they separated, identified and kept with the correct sign?

This is a confirmation checklist, not a promise that every item is included with every light box.

4. Make similar-looking versions easy to identify

Two cartons may hold the same logo but different sizes or electrical configurations. Agree on a product or version reference that the receiving team can match to the order. If store codes or customer labels are required, send the final list and label artwork for review.

Keep the outside identification consistent with the contents list. For mixed orders, check the quantity of each version rather than only the total carton count. Do not use a brand name alone to identify several different configurations.

5. Review packing before the bulk order is closed

The paid sample should represent the project’s packing requirements as closely as practical. Ask for a record showing the product, its protection, the accessory arrangement and the closed carton. Note any difference between sample packing and proposed bulk packing.

A packing photo shows what was packed; it does not establish that a transport test has passed. If a particular test or shipping requirement is necessary, raise it before production and ask for the scope, evidence and any additional cost to be confirmed.

6. Send a short packing brief with the enquiry

Start with the graphic or reference image, size and quantity for your custom LED light boxes. Add the delivery destination, expected shipping method if known, onward distribution plans and any label requirements. You do not need a finished packing design to start the discussion.

Before approval, bring the packing arrangement, per-unit contents and version quantities into the same order record. That gives purchasing, receiving and installation teams one agreed reference when the cartons arrive.
